TRANSWESTERN ROLE

John is an Executive Vice President with Transwestern’s Tenant Advisory + Workplace Solutions group in Chicago. He co-leads a team who uses combined skillsets to provide a consultative, holistic approach when representing tenants. John’s ability to negotiate the best solutions and most advantageous terms for his clients stems from his early years as a landlord broker. This has given him a unique understanding of a transaction's intricacies and a distinct advantage in creating leverage. His team is unabashedly contrarian and drives a client-first approach.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

John has focused on providing strategic real estate planning and site selection to law firms, accounting firms, investment banks, data centers, corporations, consulates, hospitals and non-profits throughout Chicago and the United States. John has completed over 345 transactions throughout his career, totaling over 8.8 million square feet. Prior to joining Transwestern, he was a Principal at Avison Young. Before that, he held roles at Grubb & Ellis, Trammel Crow Company and Savills, serving on its tenant representation team.
 
John and his team specialize in representing tenants with requirements between 10,000 and 100,000 square feet. A partial list of John’s clients includes FINRA, McCain Foods, Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA), Alexander Group, Prairie Capital, ISBA Mutual, Fitch Even Tabin & Flannery, Masuda Funai, Schwartz Gilligan, EdgePWR, Colombian Consulate, Venezuelan Consulate and Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE).

EDUCATION

John received his bachelor’s degree in finance, with honors, from the University of Illinois and a Master of Business Administration in finance, with distinction, from DePaul University. He is a licensed real estate broker in the State of Illinois.
