Jim Jetland

Jim serves as Executive Vice President in the Minneapolis office, with over 40 years of expertise in office and industrial sales and leasing. As a Tenant Advisory advisor, Jim works with clients locally, regionally and nationally, leveraging his experience and creativity to understand their business needs, goals and objectives. Acting as a strategic partner, he provides advice on real estate planning and transaction management, offering solutions tailored to his clients’ business goals.

Jim joined Transwestern in 2026 following the acquisition of Forte Real Estate Partners'. He began his career in 1985 and has been involved in more than 1,000 leases totaling over ten million square feet. He founded Forte Real Estate Partners in 2021 and was previously a Partner at Excelsior Advisory. Jim has also worked at Cushman & Wakefield as Executive Director of Office Brokerage and was an Executive Vice President with Koll Real Estate, formerly The Shelard Group. Jim has experience representing a variety of tenants, including General Mills, Coldwell Banker, United Bankers’ Bank and Pella Windows.

Jim received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota. He is a licensed real estate salesperson in the state of Minnesota.
