Biography

TRANSWESTERN ROLE

Chris oversees operational and financial matters for the Midwest, working closely with the regional president to develop and implement strategy for all of the area’s service lines. Previously at Transwestern he served as national vice president of operations for capital markets and national controller for management services.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Chris has 28 years of commercial real estate experience. Prior to joining Transwestern, he was a vice president at Jones Lang LaSalle, where he was responsible for financial reporting, performance measurement, client reporting and all aspects of property and fund accounting as the controller for several real estate funds with aggregate assets in excess of $1 billion. Chris specialized in accounting and tax compliance for limited partnerships and REITs. He was instrumental in accounting for the formation of a $350-million real estate portfolio and the dissolution of a $400-million portfolio.

Previously, Chris was an accounting manager at JMB Realty Corporation, where he oversaw the winding down of several publicly syndicated limited partnerships. Additional responsibilities at JMB included SEC reporting, maintenance of cash flow models and assisting with the valuation of real estate investments.

EDUCATION

Chris holds a Bachelor’s degree in accounting from Illinois State University. He is a certified public accountant and a licensed real estate salesperson in the state of Illinois.
