Bob Traeger

Bob is the General Manager of SPS Tower, a premier Class A office building in the heart of downtown Minneapolis. Bob leads with a hospitality-driven, owner-minded approach focused on tenant experience, operational excellence and long-term asset value. He understands that the real estate business has shifted, with a focus on the customer experience rather than just bricks and mortar. He also considers the building owner’s best interests by strategically positioning an asset for maximize return. His deep operational knowledge, steady leadership and trusted tenant relationships help reinforce confidence in the building and the broader downtown market.

Bob Traeger is a veteran commercial real estate professional with more than 37years of experience managing premier Class A office assets in downtown Minneapolis. He joined SPS Tower in 2000 and has remained with the building through a sale and a management company transition. Bob is a motivated and organized manager who combines his excellent ability to build tenant relationships with proven financial, administrative and supervisory skills.

Prior to his time at SPS Tower, Bob spent six years in various financial roles, including Controller for a medium-sized full-service real estate company, where he prepared financial statements and filed annual tax returns. He began his career in property management with Frauenshuh Companies, which needed a property manager with strong financial skills to manage LaSalle Plaza, a 600,000-square-foot Class A mixed-use project. He managed LaSalle Plaza for eight years before managing Fifth Street Towers, a 1.2 million-square-foot twin-tower property, for three years.

In 2025, Bob was instrumental in supporting the successful, 15-year, 200,000-square-foot renewal of SPS Commerce’s headquarters — one of downtown Minneapolis’ most significant office commitments in recent years. Under Bob’s leadership, SPS Tower also achieved exceptional results in the 2025 Kingsley Tenant Experience Assessment, outperforming the Kingsley Index across all major performance categories. The building recorded 100% tenant satisfaction, with an overall satisfaction score of 4.83 out of 5, and earned perfect satisfaction ratings for property management, exceeding both portfolio and national benchmarks.

Bob received his bachelor’s degree from California State University. He is a licensed real estate salesperson in the state of Minnesota.
