TRANSWESTERN ROLE

Adam leads the construction, technical and building engineering platform for Transwestern’s Central Texas markets, including Austin and San Antonio. He manages and oversees tenant improvement and capital construction projects for Transwestern properties, ensuring that all stakeholders - building owners, tenants, property management and the general contractor - receive transparent communication and a smooth, efficient project experience.

Adam oversees a team of 45 building engineers and is responsible for working directly with asset services and national leadership in oversight of all aspects of project construction and building operations, including project coordination, vendor compliance, general contractor supervision, energy management systems, preventative maintenance, essential training, due diligence, inspection activities, infrastructure, safety and risk management, capital project management, sustainability initiatives, operational audits, emergency response and program implementation while ensuring the successful alignment of client goals. He focuses on maintaining quality standards, operating objectives, and efficient building operations for Transwestern’s managed portfolio of commercial real estate properties throughout Central Texas.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Joining Transwestern in 2022, Adam brings 38 years of experience in construction and building engineering, overseeing a diverse portfolio of tenant improvement, capital improvement and ground-up construction projects. His tenant finish experience spans assignments ranging from 1,000 square feet to more than 300,000 square feet.

Throughout his career, Adam has managed several high-profile projects, including the repurposing of a 15,000-square-foot executive health club and dining facility into an 18,000-square-foot conference center, construction of a new 1,800-space multi-level parking garage and development of a 30,000-square-foot data center. He also served as senior project manager for a 315,000-square-foot ground-up office building that became the first LEED Platinum-certified building in Texas. Additional notable projects include the construction management of a 22,000-square-foot child development center serving as a value-add amenity for a 1 million-square-foot office campus.

Over a three-year period, Adam managed more than $500 million in tenant improvement and new construction projects for a single client. His extensive experience also includes overseeing major capital projects such as cooling tower replacements, roof replacements, curtain wall waterproofing, transformer replacements, electrical infrastructure upgrades requiring building de-energization, elevator retrofits and modernizations, lighting upgrades, amenity space installations and office floor conversions from single-user to multi-tenant configurations.
