Stephanie Kressaty

Stephanie is the Special Events Manager at the Richard J. Daley Center. She works closely with Chicago's Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events to plan events in Daley Center’s outdoor area, the Daley Plaza, an 88,000-square-foot outdoor space. Stephanie processes permit applications, ensures adherence to the Daley Plaza rules and regulations, and works with the Daley Center’s engineering and maintenance staff to set up and take down events. Stephanie is also responsible for billing and ensuring organizers pay appropriate fees and submit proper applications for labor needs, certificates and insurance. Stephanie has cooperative working relationships with several other city organizations, including the Chicago Police Department, Office of Tourism, Department of Transportation, and many other ethnic and cultural organizations.

Stephanie joined Transwestern in 2023 and immediately established herself as capable of managing many tasks across different projects, from event planning to social media. Stephanie’s passion for sustainability and commitment to green meetings logic has helped the Daley Center’s eco-friendly efforts - she’s even helped save swarms of endangered urban honeybees at the building.

 

Stephanie previously worked as the Lead Hospitality Associate at Williams Lea, a global provider of skilled business-critical support services. There, Stephanie’s relationship-building skills helped her excel at coordinating and executing on-site events. Prior to that, Stephanie held various roles at Marriott, where she grew her management skills by approaching tasks with a solution-oriented mindset. From initially managing events and room blocks for a single Marriott location, Stephanie’s ability to think on her feet and find solutions for emergent situations led to her taking on a larger role in the hotel brand’s downtown Chicago luxury market.
