Shelby McKenney

Shelby manages and leads a team that operates our UHT medical office building portfolio for Transwestern in Dallas. Shelby has over eight years of experience in property management, with her one-year anniversary with Transwestern in November 2024. She is also the property manager involved in Dallas's first receivership, 190 Office Center.

Shelby's career began in operating Class A lab properties for Alexandria Real Estate Equities in Greater Boston, Massachusetts, before moving down to Texas. She coordinated for over 4 million RSF during her career until actively managing 1.2 million RSF on a critical joint venture property portfolio on a strategic development portfolio in Cambridge, MA, before moving.  Shelby was involved in the disposition process for the partners and multiple acquisitions in MA as the company underwent significant growth. After moving to Texas, she continued to work remotely for ARE while assisting in the transition of the properties from third-party management to owner-operator. Shelby helped to train over ten asset managers within the company. She assisted with the delivery of the ground-up development in Houston, TX. Shelby strives to deliver operational excellence in customer service and building operations. She is known for being extremely responsive and organized.

Shelby has earned her bachelors degree in business administration with a concentration in Accounting and Applied Analytics from Bryant University in Rhode Island.
