TRANSWESTERN ROLE

As Senior National Marketing Director for Transwestern, Monica is responsible for internal and external communications and marketing efforts across the company’s integrated real estate platform. Leveraging the firm’s prominent reputation and global resources, she collaborates with professionals throughout the country to create and deliver consistent messaging regarding the value Transwestern delivers to clients through its personalized approach to every assignment. She ensures the group’s distinctive brand attributes are supported in new business pursuits, and reinforced in the marketplace through multiple channels, including print collateral, advertising, public relations and digital media.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Monica joined Transwestern in 2014, bringing more than 15 years of commercial real estate experience to her role as marketing director for the company’s tenant advisory business. She has extensive expertise in all areas of strategic communications, including branding and corporate messaging, media and investor relations, print and digital marketing, internal and client communications, and event planning. Before joining Transwestern, she held marketing communications positions at Grubb & Ellis Company and Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, where she played a key role in two corporate rebranding initiatives, supported the launch and growth of multiple service lines, developed strategic communication programs for the transaction services, property management and valuation businesses, and raised the profile of the company’s research services and sustainability offerings. Previously, she led marketing efforts for Deloitte’s national real estate consulting practice.

EDUCATION

Monica earned a bachelor’s degree with dual majors in speech communication and Spanish from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign and a master’s degree in organizational and intercultural communication from the University of Kansas in Lawrence.
