TRANSWESTERN ROLE

John directs all industrial development activities and is the national leader of the Logistics Group. He is responsible for strategic direction and day-to-day management of the company and works with the regional development officers on business development and project execution.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

John brings to his role 35 years of experience in the real estate business. Prior to joining the Company he held a variety of senior roles with other firms.
 
USLF 1 – 2017-2018
Founder, General Partner - Managing Member
USLF 1 is an institutional real estate investment fund which has committed $110 million dollars of equity for four separate industrial developments.  The investment fund’s mandate is a build to core strategy for modern logistics assets to be built in the top US markets. 
 
CBRE Global Investors 2015-2017
Senior Managing Director
Organized and managed the newly created position of practice leader-global logistics which was a new initiative for CBRE Global Investors in 2015.  Created and managed strategic direction and sourcing of transactions for the U.S. and Europe investment platform.
 
Hillwood Europe 2013-2015
President, Chairman of various boards of directors for the Hillwood European Fund and entities (four countries). Created and managed strategic direction and sourcing of transactions for the Europe investment platform.  Hired and trained the European team.
 
Panattoni Development Company 2007-2012
Senior Partner, CIO and Executive Committee Member, Director, Panattoni Europe
Co-managed the Panattoni Europe platform for six years and chaired the three worldwide investment committees.
 
Clarion Partners 2002-2007
Managing Director, Chief Real Estate Officer, Lion Industrial Trust (LIT), Trustee, LIT Fund
Led efforts to convert Crow Holdings Industrial Trust into an open-end fund (LIT) and to raise capital and expand the business resulting in a tripling the fund’s size.  Hired and trained the majority of the professionals dedicated to LIT which grew to 45 members. 
 
Trammell Crow Company/Crow Holdings 1983-2002
Partner
Participated in the development of over 40 million sf of logistics assets developed primarily in Dallas, Texas.  Member of the Strategic Asset Team formed by Trammell Crow Company in 1987 and assumed the responsibilities of restructuring and recapitalizing several billion dollars of assets held by TCC.  Co-founded Crow Holdings Industrial Trust, predecessor to Lion Industrial Trust (LIT).
