MINNEAPOLIS, Minn – Transwestern today announces its young professionals group has raised $4,832 for Aeon, a Minneapolis-based agency focused on providing quality affordable homes that strengthen lives and communities.
For four years, Transwestern Young Professionals (TYP) have called on industry peers to compete in their Strike Against Homelessness bowling event. This year’s fundraising efforts bring the total that the group has raised for AEON over that time to $11,685, thanks in large part to event sponsors Fredrikson & Byron P.A., the Minnesota and Dakotas chapter of SIOR, Mission Construction and TYP. The Ackerberg Group, Baker Center, Colliers International, Dougherty Mortgage, Cushman & Wakefield, Schaefer Richardson and Ryan Companies have joined Transwestern as event partipicants each year since the inaugural year. Transwestern Senior Associate Will McDonald and Marketing Coordinator Tracie Kranz co-founded the event in 2016.
“The event has grown every year and we topped out at 25 teams this year,” said McDonald, who began supporting the nonprofit through the AEON Young Professionals volunteer group in 2015. “It speaks volumes to the level of respect in our industry that we can band together to fight for such a worthy organization.”
