New York – Transwestern today announces it has earned the No. 1 ranking on the “Best Places to Work in New York City” list by Crain’s New York Business, becoming the first company to top the list three consecutive years. In addition to being named to the Crain’s list five times, Transwestern has earned repeated placement on Fortune magazine’s “100 Best Workplaces” lists for millennials, women, diversity and camaraderie.
Transwestern drew attention for the unique way its leasing professionals are compensated. Producers, who are salaried, receive bonuses based on the collective performance of the office. This compensation model facilitates collaboration rather than competition, enabling its professionals to devote more time and resources to exceeding client expectations. Since its implementation in 2015, the total square footage of tenant representation transactions has more than doubled.

Companies from across all five boroughs participated in the two-part survey process conducted by Best Companies Group. Each company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics were evaluated, accounting for 25 percent of the ranking. An employee survey accounted for 75 percent.
