WashREIT to Welcome Leading Defense and Aerospace Exporter

December 21, 2020

Washington – WashREIT and Transwestern Real Estate Services (TRS) have secured ITOCHU Aviation as a new tenant at Arlington Tower, a 390,000-square-foot building at 1300 N. 17th St. in Arlington, Virginia. Transwestern Executive Vice President Tony Womack, Senior Vice President, Alex Hancock, and Vice President Bernard McKeever Jr. represented building owner WashREIT. The tenant was represented by Jim Fish and Tom Birnbach of Cresa Partners.

“ITOCHU’s tenancy is a testament to the flexible design and quality that Arlington Tower offers its tenants,” said Anthony Chang, WashREIT Vice President of Asset Management. “Our team has worked hard to provide the best possible work environment for companies to feel safe in coming back to work and we are thrilled to have ITOCHU’s vote of confidence.”

The 19-story tower is home to an exceptional amenity package including a fitness center, conference center, tenant lounge, and roof deck, boasting views of the Potomac and Washington, D.C. monuments, that has been home to concerts and events in the past. In 2018, WashREIT launched its flexible office program, Space+ at Arlington Tower, which is now available on two floors.

Within a three-minute walk, Arlington Tower tenants and guests have access to the Blue, Orange and Silver Metro lines, offering a direct connection to downtown Washington, D.C., the Pentagon, Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) and Washington-Dulles International Airport (IAD).

Publicly traded on the NYSE, WashREIT owns and operates uniquely positioned real estate assets in the Washington metro. Backed by decades of experience, expertise and ambition, they create value by transforming insight into action. Their portfolio consists of 45 properties, including approximately 3.7 million square feet of commercial space and 6,863 multifamily apartment units.
