CHICAGO – Transwestern Real Estate Services (TRS) announces CF Industries has signed a long-term, 77,863-square-foot lease at 1 Astellas Way, a 432,000-square-foot office complex in Northbrook, Illinois, for its corporate headquarters. The company is expected to occupy the space before the end of 2023. Transwestern’s Executive Vice President Kyle Robbins, Executive Managing Director Andrew Davidson and Executive Vice President David Burkards are providing office leasing services for the building. The complex, managed by Transwestern, will be renamed 2375 Waterview Drive in April 2023.
CF Industries, a leading global manufacturer of hydrogen and nitrogen products for clean energy, fertilizer, emissions abatement, and other industrial activities, is moving from 4 Parkway North in Deerfield, Illinois. The company will occupy two floors in the south building at 1 Astellas Way.
“Coming out of the pandemic, there has been a flight to quality,” said Robbins. “A tenant signing a long-term lease in such a notable building is a testament to the fact that businesses care about the office, especially high-quality environments that will attract employees back to in-person work and encourage collaboration.”
The complex is comprised of two buildings and currently has 139,366 square feet of remaining space in the south building. Located in a mixed-use park, tenants have access to a cafeteria, a 400-person multi-purpose meeting space, a fitness center, ample parking, walkable retail and outdoor terraces. The development has signage opportunities along I-294 and is visible to over one million cars weekly. In 2012, the complex won Suburban Development of the Year from BOMA Chicago.
