TRANSWESTERN ROLE

Sandy is the Director of Market Research for Transwestern's Chicago/Rosemont offices, as well as the Midwest region. She is responsible for building and maintaining all competitive market intelligence. She manages daily operations including the collection and analysis of market and economic-related statistics, providing clients with customized reports and in-depth interpretation of underlying trends in the market. In addition, Sandy compiles proprietary office and industrial market statistics and authors the quarterly office/industrial reports that are published publically for client and business development.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Prior to joining Transwestern, Sandy spent three years at DTZ as the Senior Research Analyst for Chicago and the Midwest region. Before DTZ, Sandy spent four years with Grubb & Ellis in Chicago as an office research analyst and formerly as support for the industrial services team. As a research analyst, Sandy was responsible for tracking the office property market, proprietary database management, compilation of office market reports and tracking special trends in the marketplace.

PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATION / RECOGNITION

In addition to commercial real estate experience, Sandy has had extensive professional experience in the mortgage industry as an account executive and sales representative with Option One Mortgage. She not only researched, marketed, brokered, and sold mortgage products to clients but also managed a team of account managers, handling account issues and client resolutions. She developed training, introduced new products to clients and streamlined procedures with staff in company offices.

EDUCATION

Sandy McDonald has been a licensed real estate broker in Illinois since 2010. Sandy graduated with high honors from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in Rochester, New York with a BFA degree from the College of Photographic Arts and Sciences. She also completed a concentration minor in literature.
