Biography

TRANSWESTERN ROLE

As managing senior vice president of Transwestern's Mountain, Central Texas, Central and Gulf Coast regions, Roy performs due diligence for Transwestern clients in excess of 8 million square feet annually, generating substantial savings at acquisition for our clients. Roy is responsible for providing technical support and training for all engineering staff as well as assisting property management in addressing a variety of engineering issues.  Additionally Roy is a member of Transwestern's management services operating committee, providing guidance to Transwestern's management services group.
 
Roy is responsible for the implementation of Transwestern's operating procedures, including safety training and continuing education for engineering staff.  He regularly conducts physical site inspections, compiles due diligence reporting on technical and operational issues and provides capital improvement recommendations on new property acquisitions/takeovers. 
 
Roy is instrumental in managing Transwestern's ENERGY STAR® program.  In 2007, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) awarded Transwestern the ENERGY STAR® Sustained Excellence Award for the second consecutive year in recognition of outstanding leadership in reducing CO2 emissions through superior energy management.  Transwestern is one of only two firms in the commercial real estate industry to receive this elite award in 2007. In 2006, Transwestern was the only third party real estate services firm to be awarded the Sustained Excellence honor.  An ENERGY STAR® partner since 1996, Transwestern received the ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year Award in 2004 and 2005.
 

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Roy has more than thirty years of commercial real estate experience, supervising more than one million square feet of office space in the Houston metroplex.  He has been actively involved in the Houston Fire Department (High Rise) Fire Prevention and Life Safety Program.

Roy is a current member of ASHRAE.

EDUCATION

Roy is a Texas Class A Mechanical Contractor. He is a licensed Stationary Engineer and Maintenance Electrician in Houston and has received CFC certification in Refrigerant Transition and Recovery.
