The design of Cornerstone Regional Hospital responds to cost-saving pressures affecting the healthcare industry. The 27,112 square foot surgical facility includes six inpatient bedrooms and all the ancillary treatment areas required for licensure as a general hospital. Because the compact design does not include many of the facilities that typically cause a hospital’s operational costs to be high, the physician-owners are better able to control costs and maintain high quality care standards.
