Mike Kotzin is a senior vice president of Transwestern’s occupier solutions group in the Atlanta office. In this role, Mike specializes in high level strategic planning, financial analysis, acquisition, disposition and lease restructuring for corporate and law firm clients throughout the United States.


Over the course of his career, Mike has met the needs of a diverse client base, including:  Accenture; Worldspan; Munich American Reassurance Corp; PNC Bank; and Seagram Americas.  Other recent clients include:  Lockwood Green, White & Case, Dixon Hughes Shutts & Bowen, Frost Brown Todd, AAF International and Unipro Foodservice.
Prior to joining Transwestern, Mike spent 15 years in the commercial real estate business exclusively representing tenants.  He was most recently a Senior Managing Director with Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, and prior to that he was a tenant advisor with Julien J. Studley, Inc.


Mike has been recognized for the following notable transactions:
  • 2005 NAIOP Office Lease Transaction of the Year (Miami): 250,000-square-foot built-to-suit headquarters for Burger King
  • 2006 CoStar's Office Transaction of the Year (Atlanta): 100,000-square-foot lease for Nelson, Mullins, Riley and Scarborough at Atlantic Station
Additionally, Mike’s strong performance in both the Atlanta and South Florida markets has earned him notable accolades over the years, including consistent CoStar “Power Broker” honors.


Mike received his bachelor’s in business administration in finance from the University of Texas at Austin.
