As director of research for the New Jersey office, Matthew delivers commercial real estate and economic trends, analysis and reports to team members, clients and prospects. Matthew also plays an integral role in expanding the marketing platform. He collaborates with marketing teams and sales professionals to retain clients and secure new business through new pitches, RFPs and presentations.


Matthew joined Transwestern from Avison Young, where, as vice president of research, created the annual research plan for the New Jersey office and delivered insight related to economic activity, forecasts, trends and commercial real estate market conditions. He also developed and maintained relationships with clients, providing them with market intelligence. Additionally, Matthew retained relationships with company counterparts regionally and nationally, local research experts and economic development agencies. Matthew previously led similar roles with Colliers International, GVA Williams and Sitar Realty Company.
Matthew is recognized throughout the commercial real estate industry as a leading provider of research and statistical information. He has provided editorial and quotations for newspapers and online publications including The New York Times, Real Estate Forum, New York Real Estate Journal, Real Estate Weekly, National Real Estate Investor,, NJBIZ, New Jersey Business Magazine, The Record and the CoStar Advisor. Matthew has also written commentary for Urban Land Institute's Market Profiles Report.


Matthew is a member of NAIOP and the CoStar Advisory Board for New Jersey.


Matthew received a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Saint Peter's College where he also earned membership in Pi Mu Epsilon, a national honorary mathematics society. Matthew also holds a New Jersey Real Estate Salesperson's license.
