As a Vice President in the tenant advisory services group in Houston, Marilynne focuses exclusively on tenant representation and finding real estate solutions for her local and national clients. 


Prior to joining Transwestern in 2017, Marilynne spent 16 years with Cushman & Wakefield, focusing on delivering financial analysis for the company's brokerage and investment divisions, which facilitated the lease and/or ownership commercial real estate decision-making process for numerous Fortune 500 companies. 
Earlier in her career, Marilynne was an Associate with L.J. Melody & Company (now known as CBRE Finance), a commercial mortgage banking company headquartered in Houston.  Over an 8-year period with L.J. Melody & Company, she was an integral member of the team originating $2.5 billion of commercial mortgages and closing nearly $400 million in sales/joint ventures for institutional-quality commercial properties.


Marilynne is an active member of the CCIM Houston/Gulf Coast Chapter, for which she chaired committees and served on the board of directors from 2009 to 2013. She was a founding member and original board member of CREW Houston (Commercial Real Estate Women), the Houston chapter of CREW Network.
Cushman & Wakefield recognized Marilynne with a "Team Player Award" in 2002, 2003, and 2005 and with an "Outstanding Volunteer Award - Financial Analysis Services Group" in 2006. Marilynne performed all financial analysis related to BMC Software's 1.5 msf Houston headquarters campus sale/leaseback transaction (2006) and for the Shell Oil Company headquarters leases in both Houston and Calgary (2 msf, combined), the largest office lease transaction in the world in 2011.
Marilynne is an active volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America, for which her current role is merit badge counselor. Prior volunteer activities include the Valley Oaks Elementary PTA, Cornerstone Academy PTA, Campbell Place Civic Club, Girl Scouts of the USA, and the Houston Junior League.


Marilynne earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Wake Forest University. In 2010, Marilynne earned the prestigious CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) designation. She has also completed courses from CoreNet Global and SIOR (Society of Industrial and Office Realtors). Marilynne obtained her Texas Real Estate Salesperson license in 2012 (#619610).
