TRANSWESTERN ROLE

Senior Vice President Maribeth Spitz is the regional director for the Virginia and Washington, D.C., property management portfolio working with both institutional and private investment clients. She supervises of a group of property managers managing 10 million square feet of office and industrial flex properties in Northern Virginia and the District of Columbia.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Maribeth joined Transwestern in 2000 with 15 years of real estate experience. During her career, she has managed both office and retail properties in the Mid-Atlantic region with an emphasis on the Washington metropolitan area. In particular, she has been responsible for the successful re-positioning and disposition of over $900 million of real estate assets for a variety of clients, including pension funds, associations, insurance companies, private European investors and REITS.
 
Her past experience includes asset/property management, both tenant and base building construction, contract negotiation, leasing, re-zoning, market analysis and due diligence.
 
Her clients include Pearlmark, Clarion, AEW, Blackstone, Blackrock, LaSalle, Cornerstone, KBS Realty, Northwest Mutual, Cityline Partners, Goal Financial, Calsters, LNR, the U.S. Federal Government, and a variety of associations and government contractors.

EDUCATION

Maribeth earned her bachelor's degree at Trinity College in Washington, D.C. She holds a real estate license in the State of Virginia.
