TRANSWESTERN ROLE

Marc is the Managing Director of Transwestern’s National Net Lease | Sale Leaseback Group, a business line that he co-founded. Marc oversees the group’s vision, planning and continual development, playing a pivotal role in single asset and portfolio sales across the United States for clients ranging from private investors to large institutions and corporations. He grows and establishes relationships in order to understand and exceed buyer needs, which include standard transactions and 1031 exchanges.  Marc is precise and attentive, utilizing data, technology and an entrepreneurial approach to maximize proceeds and uncover value for his clients.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Since its founding in 2017, Marc has overseen the expansion of the National Net Lease | Sale Leaseback Group to California and Texas while planning teams in five more significant markets by 2022. In the last three years, his group has facilitated 27 sale leaseback transactions totaling over $445 million, arranging the forward sale, land purchase funding, equity, investment and/or debt for 40+ net lease development projects and has sold near 100 gas station/convenience store properties. On behalf of clients, they have provided valuations for hundreds of properties in 37 states and territories. Throughout his career, Marc has been involved in transactions valued at over $950 million, including 450+ single tenant net lease property sales.
 
Prior to joining Transwestern, Marc was a Vice President of Investment Sales at Baum Realty Group. He was involved in over 100 transactions valued at over $300 million, including 40 single tenant net lease property sales. While there, he played a crucial role in the development and management of a program that offered services to lenders with troubled assets, including valuation, leasing, development completion, management, receivership and sale. Before joining Baum Realty, Marc spent six years as an investment sales broker for Hansen Realty, where he sourced development sites and condo conversion properties for developers in the Chicago Metropolitan Area and southeast Florida. Marc has serviced clients such as LNR Partners, General Electric, Cole Capital, Inland Real Estate, Mesirow and Home Depot.

EDUCATION

Marc received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois. He is a licensed real estate managing broker in the State of Illinois.
