Kim Peterson is the vice president and director of property management for Transwestern in Michigan. Her responsibilities include the oversight of all property management functions, building renovations, staffing, operations and reporting of the Transwestern portfolio for various clients which Transwestern serves in Michigan. Previously, Kim was with PM Realty Group where she oversaw the management of a portfolio totaling 900,000 rentable square feet and working with clients such as Lennar Partners, CIGNA and Archon Group. She began her real estate career in 1988 working with the management team of the Renaissance Center, a 2.2 million square foot high-rise office complex located in downtown Detroit.
Kim is responsible for the operations of the Detroit region, which is comprised of approximately three million square feet of Class "A" office space, and a major retail/life-style center, within several submarkets in the Detroit area. She was also responsible for the management and tenant build-out of Southfield Crossing phase I and II, totaling 130,000 square feet. Supervised tenant improvement construction for AAA of Michigan and EF&A totaling 31,000 square feet and over $1 million in construction costs, resulting in construction management fees of approx.nearly $50,000. She also played a significant role in achieving exceptional sale prices for the Novi Portfolio ($41 million), former HQ Building ($5 million) and Stoneridge III ($9.8 million) Her management and investment in these properties significantly impacted their value.
Transitioning the Great Lakes portfolio, hiring the staff, implementing Transwestern policies and procedures, assisted in training staff on preventative maintenance and budget software.
Kim is a graduate of the University of Michigan with a B.A. in Economics. She is an active member of BOMA Detroit and holds the RPA designation. Kim is a member of CCIM and is working towards her CCIM designation. She is a licensed salesperson with the State of Michigan.
