Biography

TRANSWESTERN ROLE

Julie began her career with Transwestern in May 1994 as an administrative assistant at a 248,000-square-foot medical office building complex in the South Texas Medical Center area. In 2004, she was promoted to property manager and in 2015 was promoted to senior property manager and now oversees twenty-four properties totaling just over two million square feet. Included in this portfolio are both on and off campus medical office buildings in each of the five major development zones of San Antonio; i.e. Northeast, North Central, Northwest, Southeast, the downtown Central Business District and now expanding to the New Braunfels/San Marcos area. Julie is responsible for coordinating the daily operations, including owner and tenant relations, budgeting and financial reporting, tenant improvement planning and construction,  She oversees a team of 16 and keeps up with personnel issues to include the interview and hiring process for the San Antonio Healthcare Division. 

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Prior to joining Transwestern, Julie worked for the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. As administrative secretary, she participated in the development of the Department of Otolaryngology separating from a Divisional Section within the Department of Surgery. Later Julie served as administrative assistant to the chairman of the newly formed Department of Otolaryngology. Julie assisted in the planning and realization of several Association-wide conventions which brought local and nationally renowned physician key-note speakers to the San Antonio area.
