TRANSWESTERN ROLE

As the Director of Retail Properties for Transwestern’s Walnut Creek office, John focuses on representing tenants in their expansions throughout Northern California and advising landlords and investors in all phases of shopping center development, leasing and sales.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

John began his commercial real estate career in 1981 with Bishop Hawk in San Jose. He then transitioned over to Grubb & Ellis Company, where he spent the next 13 years building his retail real estate career. He joined Colliers International in 1999 working as the co-director for the retail division, where he was the top producing broker. John was an integral part in building the retail platform for Colliers International. 
 
John has represented numerous retail and restaurant tenants in their expansion in the San Francisco Bay Area. A sampling of these tenants on an exclusive basis include: Fuddruckers, TGI Fridays, Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Jack in the Box, Panera Bread, Ruth’s Chris Restaurants, Regal Cinemas, Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas, 7-Eleven and Patio World. And additionally, on a preferred broker status: Chevron, Beneficial Finance, Bank of the West, and Maya cinemas. Additionally, John has extensive shopping center sales experience and has been involved in the investment sales of several major grocery/drug anchored shopping centers in Northern California.
