As creative director, John oversees the marketing for Transwestern's Midwest region, including Chicago, Rosemont, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Detroit and St. Louis. With 13 years of commercial real estate marketing experience, he leads a team that is responsible for marketing support to all service lines, new business development, advertising, public relations and communications programs. John joined Transwestern in 2003 from a background in photography and graphic design, combining these two skillsets to create a unique look for Transwestern's marketing materials.
Previously, John worked as senior graphic designer for Transwestern's Chicago office, where he was responsible for the creation of marketing materials, advertisements, email, flash & print flyers, announcement cards, invitations and photography/video projects to promote the company both internally and externally. He still photographs Transwestern Chicago's leased and managed buildings, as well as potential additional buildings for the firm's growing portfolio.


Shortly after Transwestern acquired leasing and management of the Great Lakes REIT portfolio, John worked to reposition the entire portfolio of buildings under a cohesive branding, in efforts to rebrand and reintroduce the buildings back into the marketplace. This included photographing the buildings, designing logos and refreshed marketing collateral, and developing advertising and public relation campaigns. All of this led to the tremendous success which Transwestern received in leasing & management of the portfolio, which in only one year saw 74 transactions comprising of over 800,000 square feet.

John received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in photography from the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee
