Biography

TRANSWESTERN ROLE

John Heard is involved in strategic areas throughout Transwestern. Most notably, John specializes in leasing services, including lease and sale transaction management and negotiation, as well as business development and marketing on behalf of large institutional and private real estate investors. He is focused on enhancing value for his clients by maintaining an acute understanding of the market and how each client can maximize their investment value. John also represents users of space and advises on real estate decisions to enhance strategic goals.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Throughout his time at Transwestern, John has been involved in several value-creating transactions resulting in company-wide recognition including Transwestern’s 2023 “Occupier Solutions Deal of the Year”, the “2023 CoStar Impact Award”, and Transwestern’s 2022 “Agency Leasing Deal of the Year”.
 
Prior to joining Transwestern, John worked at the Texas Medical Center where his role as Real Estate Manager included involvement in the leasing, development, and asset management of the 1,400-acre campus. During that time, he was involved in the master planning and execution of TMC3, a $1.5 billion, 37-acre Medical Research Campus.

PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATION / RECOGNITION

John serves on the Board of Directors for Pro-Vision, a charter school located in Houston, Texas and advises on strategic planning and fundraising. He also serves as a member of NAIOP, the Baylor Professionals Committee, the Transwestern Young Professionals Group, and is a lifetime member of the Baylor University Letterwinners Association.

EDUCATION

John received his B.B.A. from Baylor University with a double major in Finance and Real Estate, where he was a letterman on the Men’s Basketball Team. John holds a Texas Real Estate License.
