Jim serves as vice president of construction in the firm's Houston development group, where he is responsible for the construction of commercial office and industrial development projects. He provides full-service construction management services for build-to-suit clients and oversees the design and construction of our principal development projects.


Jim's 35 years of experience includes high-rise and mid-rise office, retail, industrial, residential and hotel. Recent responsibilities include the BHP Billiton Tower, a 1.2 million-sq ft podium office tower and Port 225 Phase II, a 750,000-sq ft industrial project.
Prior to joining Transwestern, Jim was with Turnberry Associates where he was responsible for the pre-development of a 32-story luxury condominium project in Houston. Before that he spent 24 years with Hines where he participated in the development of more than 10 million square feet of projects in the southwestern U.S. and Mexico. Career project highlights highlights include: 24th @ Camelback, a 640,000-sq ft office and retail project in Phoenix; First Colony Mall, a 1 million-sq ft retail project in Sugarland; and St. Luke's Medical Tower, a 1.1 million-sq ft project in Houston's Texas Medical Center.


Jim received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland and a Masters of Architecture from the University of Houston.
