TRANSWESTERN ROLE

Jim has over 30 years of highly successful commercial real estate experience. At Transwestern, Jim is responsible for providing strategic direction, sourcing acquisition and development opportunities, operations, and leasing.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Jim, in partnership with Bill Zurek, has completed many of the larger transactions in the Phoenix area with an aggregate value in excess of $3 Billion. Notable accomplishments within the diversified property and transaction structures include:
 
  • Over 12.0 Million SF of office properties represented resulting in excess of $4.0 Million SF of negotiated leases.
  • Involved in the active acquisition and respositioning, both as a broker and a principal, of over 2.0 Million SF of institutional quality office properties.
  • Sale and leaseback (both consulting and execution) of the landmark 252,000 SF SCF Insurance corporate headquarters.
  • Significant office lease transactions with American Express, (171,000 RSF), Internal Revenue Services (108,000 RSF), General Dynamics (149,000 RSF), US Air (100,000 RSF), DuPont Airproducts (95,000 RSF), Liberty Mutual (75,000 RSF), Rural Metro (90,000 RSF), Maricopa County (67,000 RSF), and Health Choice (74,000 RSF).
  • Multiple institutional quality multi-family sites sourced and subsequently invested in the vertical developments as a principal; debt and equity sourcing and partnership advisory.
  • Complex land assemblage.
  • Consistent top producer, President Club and Champions Club Achiever.
  • Previous Board of Directors member at Transwestern and current shareholder.

EDUCATION

Jim graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business.
