TRANSWESTERN ROLE

Jake is a Vice President in the New York Nonprofit Practice Group, which helps nonprofits of all sizes minimize occupancy costs and capitalize on the tremendous savings uniquely available to tax-exempt organizations.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Working primarily with tenant clients, Jake provides occupier solutions for nonprofit organizations in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx. He is adept at finding off-market solutions for his clients’ real estate needs and has worked on numerous ground-up construction projects. His clients include Goodwill, Sheltering Arms and Democracy Prep Public Schools.
 
Prior to joining Transwestern, he gained critical experience in the nonprofit sector, serving as a capacity-building consultant for youth in Michigan at Neutral Zone, a diversity educator at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business, and a Program Manager at the University of Michigan’s Program on Intergroup Relations.

PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATION / RECOGNITION

Jake is a licensed real estate salesperson in New York. He is active with the Michigan Community Scholars organization and is a founding board member of Mobile Studios, a Denver nonprofit whose mission is to provide accessible music production programming for youth.

EDUCATION

Jake earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology and a master’s degree in social work from the University of Michigan.
