Howard Haring joined Transwestern in 2013 and currently manages the 223,338 square foot, Legacy Oaks office complex in San Antonio, Texas for a private investment group.


Howard has over 26 years of diversified income-producing real estate experience. His career titles have included Director of Marketing, Acquisitions Analyst, Asset Management Specialist, Property Manager and Regional Vice President. He has managed office buildings and retail space in the San Antonio market for Peloton Commercial Real Estate, HPI Real Estate Management and REOC Partners.
Previously, Howard served as a Regional Vice President for WMC Management Company LLC, a New York Stock Exchange traded national REIT. In this capacity, he managed over 1,475,000 square feet of income producing residential properties with a portfolio budget of $12,500,000 in Total Collected Income and over $4,000,000 in Total Controllable Expenses. In addition, he served as Regional Vice President for Dallas based Hawaii Properties, Inc.; he opened and directed all business and management activities of HPI's San Antonio office.
Early in his career, Howard served as a Staff Analyst for the United States Senate Committee on Governmental Affairs, in Washington, D.C.


Howard has earned the Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management, the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation from the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute, and the Certified Apartment Property Supervisor (CAPS) designation from the National Apartment Association. He is a licensed Texas Real Estate Broker.
Howard is a Past President of the San Antonio Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management and a past Member of the Board of Directors of the San Antonio Apartment Association. He has twice been named Certified Property Manager (CPM) of the Year, in 2003 and 2010, by the San Antonio Chapter of IREM.


Howard holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Graduate School of Management at the University of Dallas. His undergraduate education was at Southern Methodist University's Edwin L. Cox School of Business, from which he received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. He has also earned the Distinguished Toastmaster Designation from Toastmasters International.
