Gary joined Transwestern in 1999 and has been instrumental in the firm’s growth. He launched Transwestern’s Midwest Investment Services Group, which today remains one of the most formidable investment sales teams in the market. Gary has been consistently ranked among the top five percent Transwestern producers nationwide since 1999. In 2009, he served as a managing director at Eastdil Secured, rejoining Transwestern in 2010. In 2013, Gary completed the largest office sale transaction (6.2 million square feet) that had occurred in the U.S. since 2011.
A 27-year industry veteran with a proven track record of success, Gary has completed 30 million square feet of transactions with an aggregate value in excess of $3.3 billion. Gary began his career in commercial real estate in 1990 with Cushman & Wakefield where he participated in investment sales assignments of 2.5 million square feet of office property. He also served corporate clients in domestic and international tenant representation, building agency leasing, land disposition and acquisition.
Gary has experience working with clients such as: Allianz, Bentall Kennedy, CIGNA, Cornerstone, Duke Realty, GlenStar, ING Realty Partners, Invesco, Investcorp, KBS Realty Advisors, Lexington Corp. Prop., LNR, Mitsui Fudosan, Northwestern Mutual, Pearlmark Real Estate Partners, Piedmont Office Realty Trust, Prudential Real Estate Investors, Romanek Properties, State Farm, Stonewater Properties and Urdang Capital Management.
