TRANSWESTERN ROLE

Doug serves as vice president of Construction in the firm’s Houston development group, where he is responsible for the construction of healthcare, commercial office, and multi-family development projects. He provides full-service construction management services for build-to-suit clients and oversees the design and construction of our principal development projects.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Recent responsibilities include Westway Plaza, a 315,000-sq ft suburban office development in Houston; The Hayworth, a 240-unit eight story luxury multi-family project in Houston; Studio East, a 139-unit micro apartment project in Austin; and Candela, a 115-unit 5 story apartment project in Austin.
 
Prior to joining Transwestern, Doug estimated and managed commercial construction projects for W.S. Bellows Construction and Linbeck Group. In this capacity he managed over $500 million of projects across a broad range of product types including healthcare, office, educational, and religious facilities. His healthcare experience includes work with the following clients: Texas Children’s Hospital, Baylor College of Medicine, University of Texas Medical Branch and Houston Methodist Hospital.  At Linbeck, Doug was also responsible for new business generation as well as managing and improving internal processes.
