David Saunders focuses primarily on the marketing, leasing and disposition of retail centers and the land development opportunities associated with retail centers in the San Antonio metroplex. He currently leases the RPD Catalyst portfolio consisting of four retail centers:  Park Oaks Shopping Center, Exchange Plaza Shopping Center, Westgate Center, and Pavilions North Shopping Center.


David has been involved in commercial brokerages for over 30 years. Prior to joining Transwestern, David was associated with Hank Dickerson Company and Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers in Dallas, where he leased and sold shopping centers and land development thereof. In 2007 he was instrumental in coordinating the purchase of the land for The Overlook, Transwestern’s newest LEED certified office complex.
David’s leasing activity has included leasing empty boxes in shopping centers to Best Buy, Marshall’s, ApplianceSmart, Planet Fitness, Anna’s Linens, JoAnn’s Fabric and Craft Store, and Lamison Institute. He has also leased pad sites to Freddy’s Frozen Custard, Kirby’s Prime Steakhouse, Chili’s Grill and Bar, and Circle K site selection. David was instrumental in selling all the former Albertson’s to Archon Group, L.P. in San Antonio. He then remarketed the properties for Archon and resold them.

David has a bachelor's degree in business from Texas Tech University and is a licensed Real Estate Broker in Texas.
