Biography

TRANSWESTERN ROLE

Danny Horan is currently overseeing a portfolio of seven suburban properties comprising 1.5 million square feet. He oversees four onsite managers along with a support staff of 18.  He works closely with owners to provide a seamless transition in the operation of the properties.  He is particularly skilled in the quick assessment of the owner's objectives and translation of those objectives into an effective business plan for the property.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Danny joined Transwestern as assistant property manager of all buildings in the Forest Plaza Complex in 1990, with full responsibility for operating expenses.  During his tenure on this account, overall operating expenses were reduced by approximately five percent. 
 
Danny was promoted to property manager in 1991, managing several of the largest and most complex projects in Transwestern's portfolio, including Four Forest Plaza (395,000 square feet), Northpark IV (approximately 426,000 square feet), One Main Place (986,000 square feet) and The Centrum (447,000 square feet).  In addition, Danny managed Murray Financial Center and Ridge Road Shopping Center.  During his tenure on these accounts, capital renovations exceeding $222,000 were completed on time and under budgeted projections. 
 
Prior to joining Transwestern, Danny was active in the restaurant industry for 20 years as owner/operator of Daniel's Restaurants of America, Inc., with five locations and more than 200 employees.  He provided business consulting, specializing in planning, operating and opening restaurants.

EDUCATION

Danny received his bachelor of science degree in economics from Southern Methodist University in Dallas.  He is a Certified Property Manager (CPM®).
