Courtney joined Transwestern’s Chicago CBD agency leasing group in 2013. Having successfully represented both institutional landlords and tenants she brings an outstanding perspective to the team. Courtney specializes in advising commercial real estate owners on all aspects of the marketing and leasing process and maximizing property value in commercial office properties.


Courtney played a key role in advising an institutional investor on the $425 million, 1.4 million square foot building acquisition of 500 W. Madison (Ogilvie train station) and has achieved a 96% occupancy rate at this building along with a 91% occupancy rate across her entire portfolio. Courtney was instrumental in the development and implementation of a $1.8 million lobby renovation at 200 W. Madison, which won a TOBY award in 2016. Another of Courtney’s projects, a $20 million building renovation and re-positioning at 500 W. Madison was a finalist for a TOBY award in 2016. She has represented major landlords including KBS Realty Advisors, Northwood Investors, Bentall Kennedy, Irvine Company, Driftwood Hospitality Suites and LSC Development. Prior to joining Transwestern, Courtney served as Leasing Manager for the Irvine Company, the leading owner and operator of Class A+ properties in California, where she was responsible for leasing 2 million square feet of office space, as well as pursuing acquisitions and new business development. Additionally, Courtney worked for CBIZ Gibraltar Real Estate Services as a tenant representative broker in the CBD. This background has provided her with an excellent perspective on how current and prospective tenants view their real estate needs.
Courtney has developed a reputation as an innovative and creative leasing broker. While working for the Irvine Company, Courtney implemented numerous marketing programs, identified, designed and leased spec suites, actively assisted in completion of a lobby remodel and full amenity program. She was a driving force in bringing a unique perspective to challenging situations, workouts and negotiations. Her ideas and approach attracted technology and creative companies to the portfolio which increased occupancy by 10% to achieve a 92% occupancy rate in a nine month period.
