TRANSWESTERN ROLE

Casey is a Vice President on Transwestern’s Nonprofit Advisory Group, which helps nonprofits of all sizes minimize occupancy costs and capitalize on the tremendous savings uniquely available to tax-exempt organizations. He provides a full range of tenant advisory and agency services to the city’s nonprofit community, with a particular focus on the government sector.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Casey’s 20-year career includes key roles in real estate, finance, economic development and government agencies, an interdisciplinary blend that greatly benefits his nonprofit clients. Prior to joining Transwestern, Casey was the assistant vice president at Community Preservation Corporation, a leading nonprofit affordable housing and community revitalization finance company. He managed the creation and implementation of innovative, affordable lending programs and led the effort to streamline and target financing for the development of small buildings across New York City. Previously, he was an analyst for Civic Builders, where he analyzed charter school real estate development funding requests for the Building Equity Initiative, and a consultant at Harpia Asset Management.
 
During a five-year sojourn on the west coast, Casey was a development associate at Lennar Multifamily Communities in Oakland and worked for the city of San Francisco, in the Mayor’s Office of Economic and Workforce Development and in the Planning Department. He has also held roles at Denham Wolf Real Estate Services, Carrington Property Services, Capital Management Advisors and Goldman Sachs.

EDUCATION

Casey earned a bachelor’s degree in Government from Harvard University and a master’s degree in real estate development from New York University.
