Bert Checa serves as a Vice President in Transwestern’s Agency Leasing Group for South Florida. Bert has extensive knowledge in marketing, negotiating and leasing office space.   Bert brings more than 14 years of real estate experience to the firm, having represented numerous Landlords which allows him to better understand the leasing process utilizing this knowledge to benefit clients in the negotiation process and in the development of marketing strategies. He is tri-lingual speaking English, Spanish and Portuguese. 


Over the past 14 years, Bert has been responsible for representing Landlords and leasing transactions totaling in excess of one million square feet.   Some of his Landlord leasing agency assignments have included 4770 Biscayne Blvd 137,634 SF Class-B office building, 4000 Ponce de Leon 183,696 SF Class-A office building, Miami Green 115,849 SF Class-A office building, Santona Corner 98,000 SF Class-B office condo building, and 1805 Ponce de Leon 33,238 SF office condo building.
Prior to joining Transwestern, Bert was a Senior Broker in the office practice group at Coldwell Banker Commercial Advisors.  Prior to that he was Senior Broker at Pointe Group Advisors and began his commercial real estate career at Holly Real Estate. 
Bert is a past member of Latin Builders Association, Amigos for Kids, Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce and South Floridas Office Brokers Association.
