Biography

TRANSWESTERN ROLE

Senior Portfolio Manager Bernard Poblador oversees five Class A office properties in the Northern Virginia area totaling more than 1 million square feet. He supervises 16 engineering and management team members and manages daily building operations, formulates budgets, prepares monthly financial reports, and assists in lease negotiations. He is also involved in managing capital improvements, tenant build-outs and major repairs and maintenance.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Bernard started his career in property management when he joined Transwestern in 2010. Some of his clients have included Deutsch Asset Wealth Management (formerly RREEF), Rockpoint Group, Stockbridge Capital Group and Griffith Properties
 
He was heavily involved in 1800 K Street's LEED EB: O+M Gold Certification in 2013. He worked meticulously with Transwestern's Sustainability Services team, as well as tenants, building engineers and vendors to gather and collect data to achieve certification.
 
His most recent project is the redevelopment and repositioning of a 151,950-square-foot office building in McLean, Virginia.

EDUCATION

Bernard earned a bachelor's degree in finance at James Madison University. He is a certified LEED® Green Associate, Real Property Administrator, and licensed Real Estate Salesperson in Washington, D.C.
