Biography
TRANSWESTERN ROLE
As vice president and director of engineering with Transwestern in Dallas, Fred Stillwell is responsible for providing technical support and training for all engineering staff in the Central region as well as assisting property management in addressing a variety of engineering issues.
CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
Fred has over 34 years of commercial real estate experience supervising more than 20 million square feet of office space, industrial and retail properties across the metroplex.
Fred is responsible for the implementation of Transwestern's operating procedures within the Central region, including safety training and continuing education for engineering staff. He regularly conducts physical site inspections, compiles due diligence reporting on technical and operational issues and provides capital improvement recommendations on new property acquisitions/takeovers.
Fred provides technical support and assistance in the installation and operations of all energy management systems, working with contractors to assure owners' goals and utility objectives are achieved. Additionally, he assists in the preparation of annual operational budgets, replacement costs analysis and utility consumption analysis reporting.
PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATION / RECOGNITION
Fred is an active member of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA). He is also a panel member for both Trane HVAC Services surveys and industry magazine Building Operating Management.
EDUCATION
Fred graduated BOMA Systems Maintenance Administration and BOMA Real Property Administration. He is a System Maintenance Administrator (SMA) and a Real Property Administrator (RPA). He also received his refrigerant transaction and recovery (CFC) certificate. He is presently studying for LEED AP certification.
